We provide empirically grounded analysis to support defence agencies and ministries to better understand and address the legal and strategic implications of space activities and development trends. Our experts have substantive expertise in conducting robust threat assessments and providing legal advisory on defence postures, space deterrence doctrine, and the use of force under international law in space. We also have deep expertise in geopolitical dynamics and are well placed to provide technical support to governments and allied agencies in shaping secure and resilient space defence strategies in an increasingly contested domain.

National Space Law and Policy

We offer strategic counsel on the fast-evolving landscape of space regulation and public policy. We support governments to strengthen their space laws and regulatory systems, and in turn advise corporate space actors on regulation compliance. We also guide clients through licensing, authorisation, and compliance processes, including spectrum use, launch regulations, and satellite registration. Our experts provide tailored policy analysis, draft legislative proposals, and support development of national space strategies aligned with global norms.

Space Governance and Diplomacy

We work with clients engaged in multilateral negotiations and global space governance to build coherent, cooperative frameworks for the peaceful use of space. Our advisory monitors and analyses developments in UN forums, regional space coordination bodies, and major agreements and is well equipped to support national delegations, space agencies, and diplomats to craft positions, interpret treaty obligations, and participate in rulemaking processes. We bridge legal, diplomatic, and strategic perspectives, to contribute to the shaping of equitable norms that promote sustainability, transparency, and trust in outer space activities.

Space is a shared environment, and its sustainability is a growing legal and policy issue. We conduct environmental impact assessments and space situational awareness training to support governments in aligning space policies and behaviour with best practices in sustainability. We lead forward looking research on the ethical use of space resources, equitable access to space, planetary protection, and human rights in space. We in addition support clients in developing frameworks for the ethical use of space, conduct stakeholder consultations, and develop space policies that ensure that space missions reflect not only strategic interests, but shared human values.
We equip stakeholders with the knowledge and tools to operate effectively and lawfully in the space domain through instruction, scenario-based learning, and long-term institutional partnerships. We offer targeted executive training, tailored workshops, legal training programmes, and simulation exercises for space agencies, military organisations, regulatory bodies, and universities.
